The Bevan Library is a comprehensive information resource for clinicians and health professionals in Bedfordshire
The library, which is based at Bedford Hospital NHS Trust South Wing, holds a core collection of approximately 3000 books and print copies of medical and allied health journals.
The Bevan Library also offers free training sessions on how to retrieve high quality health information from electronic databases and the Internet. These sessions can be arranged for groups or on a one to one basis at a time that is convenient for you
The Bevan Library offers a quiet place to study with access to print and eJournals, books and Internet and Intranet access. The Book Room is available for webinar conferencing and meetings. We offer a book and Journal article request service and training in online literature searches, copyright and reflective writing.
As part of staff well-being we host the monthly mindfulness classes and have a collection on well-being and mood boosting books.
We run cultural awareness sessions and have a collection of over 400 reports on Health and Ethnicity and Equality issues.
